Business, Development, and Transportation

This group combines the Development Review Committee, the Transportation Action Group, and the inactive Commercial Action Group.

Development Review Committee - The mission of this committee is to produce development guidelines for use in future development in the neighborhood which reflect neighborhood wants and needs, including issues pertaining to architectural style, size/scale, streetscape, existing businesses and appropriate urban design that will build on the neighborhood's character.

Transportation Action Group - The purpose of the Transportation Action Group (TAG) is to support the needs of the residents for all modes of transportation within and
adjacent to the neighborhood boundaries.

TAG is a conduit for processing information to and from the neighborhood to appropriate agencies; i.e. MnDOT, Metro Transit, Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis, and SMAAC.

TAG is concerned about the safety of residents on public walkways and streets and will advocate for pedestrian and bicycle friendly solutions to existing concerns and future developments.

TAG will continue to monitor the impact of LRT on the neighborhoods.

Commercial Action Group - The purpose of the Commercial Action Group (CAG) is to support the development of new businesses and the stabilization of current businesses in the Standish and Ericsson neighborhoods.

Meets on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM

Housing

The Housing Committee is committed to assisting residents and city agencies to preserve, maintain and improve our homes by: staying current on issues affecting housing, monitoring the condition of structures, increasing awareness and access to home improvement resources, and promoting responsible improvement and new development.

Meets the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m.

Quality of Life

Quality of Life mission statement - This group is working to strengthen and sustain a safe, stable, and healthy environment, including issues related to water quality, land use, and neighborhood park facilities and safety; strengthening connections among residents and helping improve conditions affecting families, youth, and seniors.
